Ubongo recently hosted a successful animation workshop in partnership with Mind’s Eye Creative of South Africa. 

The three-day workshop brought together animators of Ubongo Kids, Akili, and other programmes to learn more about animation production. Topics covered included scripting, story-boarding, directing, animating, and editing.  The workshop was led by Stephen Heath, Animation Director of Mind’s Eye Creative, who also offered a brainstorming session with the animators to discuss new, fun ways to animate character motions and facial expressions.

Ubongo is constantly striving to provide the highest quality African educational cartoons.  The workshop was successful in imparting new skills to our animation team, inspiring them to try new techniques and be even better animators.
