Here at Ubongo, we have a talented team of educators and writers, many with teaching backgrounds. However, none of us is in local schools on a daily basis to see exactly how children in our target age range (7 to 13 years old) are learning Maths and Science in East Africa. Therefore, we have been inviting teachers from across Dar es Salaam to act as stakeholders for Ubongo Kids and Ubongo Mobile by sharing their invaluable experience, giving us feedback, and even helping to write new content.
We recently held a workshop for local teachers at our office where we shared our teaching philosophy of making learning fun, engaging, and relevant and also strategies for how to incorporate Ubongo Mobile-style questions into their classroom testing. We even have local teachers writing some of the Mobile content! Local teachers have also been invited to our office to provide feedback on Ubongo Kids Season 3 topics as well as content for Akili, our new nursery school programme.
