Joe Watson’s study on Ubongo Kids’ positive effect on Kids in Tanzania is now publish.
- Children who reported watching Ubongo Kids recently scored better in math on the Uwezo assessment
- Watching Ubongo Kids was a stronger predictor of math outcomes than even age of the child: “The coefficient for the association between mathematics capability and Ubongo Kids exposure (0.130) is greater than that for an additional year in age (0.059)”
- Ubongo Kids is an extremely cost efficient method of improving math learning outcomes. “The CEA estimate for Ubongo Kids suggests that the intervention can deliver greater child learning outcome benefits per $100 spent than any other programme assessed using the J‐PAL method.”
