Ubongo started in a small office space, sharing it with Shule Direct.
It quickly became too small as we expanded from 5 to 14 people in the period of a year and a half.  We have moved to a large, open-concept office space designed to inspire creativity! We have large, bright, collaborative workspaces, a meeting room, a TV and couch area for the children who visit almost every day to watch and “user test” our cartoons, a “silent” room for quiet thinking and a beautiful recording studio! On top of this, our office has an upstairs apartment, with a kitchen, gym and a bedroom for our international interns and volunteers!

We opted for an inverter power back up the system instead of a generator in order to assure uninterrupted power supply.  We also have just finished installing our own server, allowing all the animators to share their work in an efficient and orderly way. The investment in these systems should pay off in increased productivity and less downtime due to power supply problems.

Our office is truly a home away from home, with a 360-degree view of Msasani, and we couldn’t be happier!
