It is back to school time!
We have put together five ways you can help your child achieve their potential inside and outside the classroom.
1. Read together
Reading with your kids is great, asking questions and discussing what you are reading is even better!! Reading is proven to help improve languages skills and is also a great chance to bond with your child.
2. Get involved with school work
Ask them about their day and school work. Find out not just what they DID but ask them to explain what they LEARNED! This will help them to revise what they learned and identify any areas they may need help.
3. Talk with teachers regularly
Find out how your child is going in class. Are they progressing as the teacher would like? Discuss ways you can work together to help them reach their full potential!
4. Support passions
Is your child showing a love for numbers or Swahili or English or drawing? Encourage and celebrate them working on these subjects, while being mindful of areas where they may need more support.
5. Make learning fun!!
Keeping learning fun, especially after a day at school, is critical. Playing games and doing activities that engage your child’s mind are a great way of keeping them entertained while learning new things.
Help your child succeed at school with our two new, free back to school apps. They have both been designed to help kids learn their ABC’s in a fun way.
