Ubongo Kids Club first screening draws a huge crowd!
With funding from Development Innovation fund, USAID, Ubongo is developing a sustainable and scalable model for children’s fun learning clubs, called Ubongo Kids Club. These clubs meet to watch Ubongo Kids and Akili and Me in rural non-electrified communities in Morogoro.
The project is assessing different models for facilitation, funding and technology provision for these clubs. It will assess the effectiveness of bringing children together into the clubs and improving their learning outcomes. The study will take place over a period of a year with a six month intervention schedule in eight non-electrified villages exploring three different viewing models; solar media center, existing video banda and mobile video unit.
